Locum Appointment for Training (LAT) In Endocrinology & Diabetes/General Internal Medicine

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two LAT`s in Endocrinology & Diabetes/ GIM based at either University Hospital Hairmyres or  Glasgow Royal Infirmary. These vacancies are from February 2025 for a period of 6 months.

A LAT appointment is recognised for training purposes However, the decision to award training recognition to any given post has to be determined by the interview panel based on an assessment of the applicants experience (please see the person specification within the job pack)   

Ideally applicants would be either doctors with a broad general professional training including General Medicine or GP vocationally trained doctors who wish to gain further acute specialty experience.

Full MRCP membership is required.

The post holder will participate in a rolling rota incorporating dayshift, nightshift and backshift working.
