GP With Special Interest Acute Medicine

Applications are welcomed by NHS Tayside for GPs with a Special Interest in Acute Medicine. The successful candidate(s) will be based at Ninewells Hospital. Posts will be based within the Ambulatory Assessment Area within Acute Medicine. Duties will include the urgent and emergency assessment and management of patients presenting to the Ambulatory Assessment Areas.
The candidate(s) will be supported by a team including GPSTs, IMTs within medicine, ANPs and nursing staff. They will also be supervised by an Acute Medicine Consultant.
Opportunities will be available to work within other areas of acute medicine.
These posts will commence in January 2025 and are for 6 months in the first instance with potential opportunity to extend the contract.
Applicants must have successfully completed MRCGP and experience within Acute Medicine is desirable.
Excellent opportunities will exist to become involved in teaching, clinical governance and quality improvement work.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for any general practitioner wishing to develop further experience within acute medicine or to incorporate Acute medicine into their longer-term career plan.
