£107,985 - £129,634 per annum pro rata


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Inverness Out of Hours Service based within Raigmore hospital.  You will join a welcoming, dedicated team in OOH, providing medical care to a wide range of patients encountered in OOH.

We are proud of the patient focused service we provide. We have a dedicated team providing GP OOH service to the area and every day is different. You will be working with a wide range of professionals including highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioners and District Nurses providing everything from acute immediate care to palliative care in the out of hourse period.

We are looking for a hardworking, adaptable and professional team player with a passion for providing high standards of diverse medical care. As an out of hours role, we are looking for individuals available for periods outside of the 9-5, including some Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

Applications welcome from candidates interested in covering up to 36hrs per week covering Out of Hours service operating hours.  Whole or part-time working arrangements will be considered or negotiated as suited to applicants personal circumstances.  This position may also suit someone interested in taking up the position on a job-share basis.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
