Langabhat Medical Practice is seeking a salaried GP to join our clinical team in the Western Isles. We serve a population of approx 5200 patients across rural Lewis from six Health Board owned premises. We are looking for a GP to work 6 sessions but we can be flexible for the right candidate.
- Friendly and supportive team comprising GPs, ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, triage and admin team. We also work with the wider MDT including community nursing, pharmacy, first contact physio and primary care OT. Unscheduled care team to support home visiting.
- EMIS and Docman dispensing practice with triage system in operation.
- Mix of 15min F2F and 10 min telephone appointments, visits cover sessions am or pm.
- Well established training practice with strong educational ethos. We also host nursing students, medical students and offer taster days/weeks for FY doctors. Opportunities to support candidates for NMP and CAP courses.
- Innovative and progressive practice, open to new ideas and ways of working.
- No OOH commitment but sessions would be available for interested GPs.
- Our rural location can mean we do more than the average GP might, so interest in acute medicine and BASICS training could be an advantage.
