Our expanding group practice seeks enthusiastic new doctors for our team!
Grantown on Spey is a beautiful town situated within the Cairngorm National Park. The area offers a wide range of recreational activities as well as being within easy reach of Inverness and the Moray coast. There are excellent transport links to other parts of the UK. The Glenlivet area is more rural and also in the Cairngorm National Park area.
From April 2025 the partnership will also take over the delivery of GMS services at Aberlour which borders the Glenlivet boundary. Again, Aberlour is in a beautiful rural location, also with a distillery!
Services currently are provided from our purpose built, recently renovated premises in Grantown-on-Spey (NHS Highland) and Glenlivet (NHS Grampian) with a total list size of just over 6000 patients. From April 2025, we will also use the HSCM premises at Aberlour for the 3000 patients registered there. We are very unusual in that our Practices are located in different Health Board areas, which means working here brings more interest and opportunities.
Our team currently has 8 GP Partners, 2 salaried GP’s, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and experienced nursing and admin teams. We provide minor injuries at both Grantown-on-Spey and Glenlivet and are a BASICS fixed response site. There are a variety of PCIP staff working in both practices and on site provision of physiotherapy and podiatry services at Grantown.
Our partnership ethos is: ‘A healthy and happy team working together towards a healthier and happier community’.
We have a strong education ethos with GP Registrar training, FY2 doctors, Year 4 and 5 medical students and ScotGem students. This means we are very supportive of new GPs and those wishing to develop their special interests. We are looking for enthusiastic, progressive team players who have the potential to develop within our innovative, forward thinking and friendly Partnership. There is no Out of Hours commitment, but shifts are available in the local GP led service in Aviemore or at GMED.
Successful candidates may be required to work at any of the three sites although for continuity, GPs will mainly work in a specific location.
We are ideally looking for applicants who are able to work 6 to 8 sessions per week.
